I have been operating for a number of years as an independent consultant for Companies who are smaller in size but need ready access to advice and guidance around their people in terms of recruitment, retaining skills and ensuring that they remain competitive. In an increasingly competitive employment market, I have a real desire to make a difference to how organisations can maximise the potential of their people and drive success and profitability. My career within the HR arena has spanned 20 years, the last six years as a Main Board member of a SME. Unusually my career path has taken me to operate on the commercial side of business delivering sales and projects to large customers with high demands. This is quite unique for a HR professional and gives me a totally different perspective of the way in which businesses can build future success and better customer experience through their people, adding value and gaining competitive advantage, without losing sight of the commercial reality of the day to day operation.
